(KNSI) – A Richmond man was hospitalized early Wednesday morning after a deer struck his motorcycle in Morrison County.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 4:00 a.m., deputies received a report of a motorcycle accident on 165th Avenue just north of 233rd Street in Ripley Township, about five miles north of Little Falls.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a 59-year-old man was traveling north when a deer ran into the roadway and struck his motorcycle. The driver was rushed to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with unknown injuries.
