(KNSI) – A St. Cloud resident has been charged after allegedly stealing a rare bike. Twenty-six-year-old Shueb Afi Ibrahim has been charged with one felony count of theft after stealing the bike earlier this month.

At approximately 2:24 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, St. Cloud police officers were dispatched to the Planet Fitness in St. Cloud regarding a man in need of assistance. While passing Byerly’s Grocery Store, officers were flagged down by an individual identified as Victim A in the criminal complaint, who reported that his bike had been stolen.

Officers arrived at Planet Fitness and made contact with Ibrahim, who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Authorities observed Ibrahim had a silver bike in his possession. When asked about it, Ibrahim was reportedly confrontational, claiming he had received it from a friend approximately 20 minutes earlier.

Victim A was brought to the scene and identified the bike as his, describing it as a rare model he had paid $1,400 for. Ibrahim was subsequently arrested and booked into the Stearns County Jail.

Ibrahim was later released on bail and is scheduled to appear for an omnibus hearing in Stearns County District Court on Tuesday, July 28.
