(KNSI) – The Central Minnesota Builders Association is opening the doors to new construction across the region this weekend and next for its annual Spring Tour of Homes.

The tour features 18 homes spread across nine communities, including Cold Spring, Melrose, Rice, Richmond, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, St. Augusta, St. Cloud, and St. Joseph. CMBA Executive Director Wanda Schroeder told KNSI there may even be a last-minute addition, so organizers are encouraging visitors to download the CMBA Tour app before heading out. “Check out the app for any updates or homes that get added last minute. They will be on the app, which is the CMBA Tour, or check out the website at cmbatour.com.”

Magazines listing the homes are available at Coborn’s and Little Duke gas stations across central Minnesota, but the app will have the most current information. Homes are open Friday, March 20th and Friday, March 27th from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays, March 21st and 28th and Sundays March 22nd and 29th from noon to 5:00 p.m.

Builder Dave Werschay says the tour is a valuable opportunity for anyone thinking about new construction to connect with builders face-to-face. “When you enter into a relationship with a builder, you’re gonna be hanging out with them for six, eight, 10, 12, 24 months. You know, you’re gonna be married to them. So get to know them and make sure you like them.”

Warshay has two homes featured on this year’s tour, one in Sartell and one in St. Augusta.
