(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University and CentraCare are ready to showcase the latest and greatest in local healthcare breakthroughs at an event scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The two organizations have come together to form the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research, or CHOPR, to celebrate innovation and recent studies. This Friday, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. inside the Todd Steinke Auditorium at CentraCare SouthPoint, SCSU faculty and hospital leadership will pull the curtain back on how virtual reality is being used in therapy and the latest research on pregnancy outcomes by neighborhood.

SCSU Professor King Banaian says, “CHOPR was designed to connect CentraCare clinicians with SCSU faculty and students to solve real problems for patients and communities. This showcase is a look at what that partnership made possible.”

He adds, “We’re proud of the results and excited to chart the next phase of collaborative health research in our region.”
