(KNSI) — A three-vehicle crash in Sauk Centre Township left a motorcyclist dead Thursday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol’s preliminary crash report says it happened just before 9:00 at the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway 71. Investigators say the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was going east on 28 and waiting to turn north onto Highway 71 with a 63-year-old man on a Harley Davidson motorcycle stopped behind it. An eastbound Freightliner straight truck rear-ended the motorcycle, then plowed into the pickup.

Neither the driver of the Freightliner nor the pickup truck driver was hurt. The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

Details in this story are preliminary and may be subject to change without notice.
