Sartell Closing Popular Part of Pinecone Road for One Week

(KNSI) – Pinecone Road in Sartell will be closed for about a week beginning this Friday.

The project affects the road between 12th Street North and 27th Street North. The stretch is expected to be back open by Independence Day. A detour will be in place, diverting drivers east to Riverside Avenue/County Road 1.

The road closure is due to an expansion at The Waters Church, featuring a new 800-person auditorium for services and a 100-plus-child daycare facility. To facilitate the growth, Sartell is extending its current utility lines to connect to the buildings going up at 1227 Pinecone Road.

The issue last went before the Sartell City Council on June 9th.
