(KNSI) – Accura HealthCare has announced that 11 nursing and assisted living communities in Minnesota have been awarded the 2026 Bronze Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). Among the award recipients is Park Gardens Assisted & Independent Living in Waite Park.
Award recipients are honored for their ability to implement a performance improvement system that demonstrates progress toward organizational goals. The award is part of the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, a three-level process based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.
Providers initially start at the Bronze level, where they develop a profile outlining their mission, strengths and challenges. Bronze applicants must then demonstrate the use of a performance improvement system.
If examiners who review each application determine that a center has met the criteria, Bronze Award recipients are then eligible to move to the Silver Achievement in Quality award criteria.
