(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Rox have named a Stearns County standout athlete to their roster for the 2025 season.

Nolan Geislinger of Watkins will patrol centerfield for the Northwoods League squad as they try to reach the postseason again. The Rox lost to the La Crosse Loggers in the Divisional Championship last year and made it to the title game in 2023 before falling to Green Bay.

Geislinger was a two-sport standout at Eden Valley-Watkins High School, helping the Eagles win a state championship on the gridiron. This past year, he played on the football and baseball teams at Iowa Western Community College.

He has already set a Reivers single-season record as a freshman with 44 stolen bases in 56 games. Geislinger has only been cut down on the base paths four times. He is batting .341 with an OPS of .891. Of his 62 hits, 11 have gone for extra bases, and Geislinger has driven in 30.

Western Iowa is in the NJCAA Tournament, facing Indian Hills Community College in the regional round. Their season will wrap up just before the Rox take the diamond for the first time. St. Cloud’s home opener is Friday, May 30th.

Geislinger was one of six players announced to be signed to the team. Others include Aiden Lieser (University of Nebraska), whose cousin Scott is the pitching coach, former Sartell Sabre Wesley Johnson (Winona State University), Matthew Maulik (University of St. Thomas), Carter Jorissen (Cal State Bakersfield), and Riley Iffrig (University of St. Louis).
