(KNSI) – A detached shed caught fire Sunday afternoon in Maine Prairie Township, thought to be caused by a wood-burning stove.
Stearns County Sheriff’s deputies got the call at about 4:10. When they arrived, the large shed was completely engulfed. The Kimball Fire Department put out the blaze before it could spread. An 88-year-old man who lived at the property on 66th Avenue phoned in the fire. He was unharmed, and the firefighters were also unscathed.
There has been a rash of fires across the region in which a wood-burning stove was the culprit.
