(KNSI) — Sartell High School social studies teacher Karrie Fredrickson has been awarded the 2024 Regional Earl Reum Award from the National Association for Student Activities.
Dr. Reum was the founder of the National Association of Workshop Directors and its NA4SA.
According to a press release, the award recognizes individuals who represent outstanding dedication to student activities and leadership and is focused on experience working with student activities, leadership, mentoring and sharing that knowledge with others.
Not only is Fredrickson a 30 year veteran teacher at the district, she’s the advisor to both the Honor Society and the Student Council. She has also presented at the division, state and national level for students and advisors and currently serves as the Minnesota Association of Honor Societies State Advisor where she works with the state student executive board monthly at the state Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals office. She also provides advisor training throughout the year at conferences.
The Regional Earl Reum Award recipients will each be recognized during the Second General Session of the 2024 National Conference on Student Activities in Memphis, Tennessee in December.
