(KNSI) – Central Minnesota is the place to be for one more glimpse at Mother Nature’s fall tapestry.
Thursday’s Department of Natural Resources’ updated color finder map shows the St. Cloud area and a large swath near the Iowa boarder are in peak. There’s also a vibrant array in the Twin Cities and a small chunk in the Boundry Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This includes popular places like Lake Maria State Park, Greenleaf Lake State Recreation Area, and Fort Snelling State Park. Minnesota Valley State Recreation Area is the only state park that is between 50% to 75% in peak.
The rest of the state is past its prime. Click here to check out the color finder map for yourself.
