(KNSI) – Minnesota is the second best state in the nation.
That’s according to the U.S. News and World Report, which has ranked each state every year since 2017. Minnesota has always landed in the top three spots.
For 2021, the state of Washington takes the gold while Minnesota earns the silver. Utah comes up in third, followed by New Hampshire and Idaho.
Minnesota is recognized as second in the nation for opportunity and ninth for its infrastructure.

In the other categories, Minnesota ranks 16th for health care, 17th for education, 15th for the economy, 21st for fiscal stability, 15th for crime and corrections and 10th for its natural environment.
