(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health confirms 761 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths statewide on Wednesday.
There are 42 new cases in the St. Cloud area: three in Benton County, four in Morrison County, 13 in Sherburne County, seven in Stearns County and 15 in Wright County.
Three-point-eight percent of the 19,822 COVID tests processed by the state yesterday came back positive, staying below the 5-percent threshold that health leaders consider a caution level for community spread.
So far, more than 770,000 Minnesotans have gotten their first COVID-19 vaccine dose. Roughly half of those vaccine recipients have gotten their second dose. MDH estimates that 42.4 percent of the state’s seniors have received at least their first dose.
