34 New COVID-19 Cases, 53,000+ Total People Vaccinated Around St. Cloud Tuesday

(KNSI) – The five-county St. Cloud area adds just 34 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Three counties — Benton, Morrison and Sherburne — report single-digit new case counts with six, one and four, respectively. Stearns County sees 11 new cases and Wright County 12.

Statewide, there are 513 new cases and one death: a person from Rock County in their 70s.

The state processed 9,498 COVID tests on Monday for a one-day test positivity rate of 5.4 percent.

Right now, 269 people are hospitalized in Minnesota for COVID-19 complications, with 54 of those patients in the ICU.

Today’s numbers come as 53,109 people in the St. Cloud area have received at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Across Minnesota, almost 1,126,000 first and second doses have been administered to roughly 13.7 percent of the state’s population as of Sunday.
