(KNSI) – The Stearns History Museum has achieved the gold standard in its industry.
Officials at the institution are proud to announce it has been reaccredited for the next ten years by the American Alliance of Museums. The facility is the only county museum in Minnesota to earn the honor. About 3% of the nation’s 33,000 museums are accredited.
The process includes a rigorous self-assessment and peer review. It generally takes eight to sixteen months to complete.
The museum’s mission is to connect people through history and culture. Its vision is to offer a premier experience learning the heritage of central Minnesota.
