(KNSI) – Get your tickets and sip into fall at the St. Cloud Craft Beer & Ciderfest.

The fun is Saturday, September 9th, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. for VIP and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for general admission at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud. The annual event brings together dozens of brewers from across the region with their best drinks. The afternoon will feature 35 beverage makers.

Leighton Beverage Events Director Cole Erie says many brewers have it down to an art. “A lot of these guys have biochemistry degrees, or they went to school in the science field. It’s funny, a lot of the stories about brewers is they end up brewing beer or cider, and then all of the sudden, they’re like, hey, this is good.”

He says it definitely takes a certain skill set. Erie told KNSI News there will be hundreds of drinks to try, and you don’t have to finish your glass if you don’t want to. “The great thing about this event is if you don’t like it, we have rinse stations. It’s okay to not like a sample. It’s okay to head over to the rinse station, dump it out, rinse out your glass with a little shot of water, and then move on to the next. That’s what these events are for. So, you can find what you like.”

This year’s show will include live music by the Way Up North Band.

Participants will also have a chance to cast their vote for their favorite drinks. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales goes back to the Mother of Mercy Foundation.
