(KNSI) – Gretchen Boulka has been promoted to executive director at the Paramount Center for the Arts.

She will begin her new role on September 1st. Boulka has been with the theater since 2017 as the director of performing arts. Before that, she spent about two decades at various organizations in the Twin Cities.

Boulka was selected by the Paramount’s board of directors after a nationwide search. Bob Johnson announced he was stepping down as executive director in January.

The board of directors says in a statement that Boulka’s expertise, passion, and skills will advance the Paramount’s mission.
