(KNSI) – St. Cloud firefighters at Station #2 had moms of all stripes and feathers on their minds for Mother’s Day.
Early on Sunday, Engine #2 was called out to pull a dozen ducklings from a storm drain. They had fallen through the grate as they sought shelter from the weekend’s rain.
The baby birds are still small enough to fit into a person’s hand. You can see a photo of the adorable ducklings below trapped and waiting for their gallant rescuers.
Station #2 covers the city’s northwest side, responding to flames and apparently fowl as well.
