(KNSI) – President Joe Biden recognized two St. Cloud Area Public School teachers for getting kids to help out at the St. Cloud VA.
McKinley Alternative Learning Center Language Arts Teacher Kathy Lyerly and Social Studies instructor Mike Myers-Schleif have been given the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for leading student volunteers from McKinley-ALC to the VA for over 25 years.
According to the district, the Lifetime Achievement Award is given to people who volunteer for at least 4,000 hours.
