(KNSI) – The Stearns County Parks Department is offering free access to Quarry Park on Saturday, May 20th.
It’s part of the National Park Trust Kids To Parks Day, meant to inspire a love of the outdoors. There are additional lessons on taking care of parks and using them responsibly for recreation. Also covered are science and engineering principles and information about the history of our parks systems, including national treasures like Yellowstone or Yosemite. Kids to Parks Day runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Waite Park.
Quarry Park is one of the most popular nature preserves in the St. Cloud area. It is located on County Road 137 in Waite Park.
