(KNSI) – A Twin Cities-based LGBTQ+ youth organization is launching a mentorship program in the St. Cloud.

QUEERSPACE collective is holding a community gathering to celebrate the launch of their new location on March 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jupiter Moon Ice Cream in St. Joseph. The community gathering will coincide with International Transgender Day of Visibility.

The organization says it chose to expand to St. Cloud based on feedback from the local LGBTQ+ community. QUEERSPACE aims to empower LGBTQ+ youth to increase their self-esteem and develop a sense of belonging, cultural identity, and pride.

QUEERSPACE collective’s expansion to St. Cloud is made possible thanks to support from the Morgan Family Foundation and PFund.
