(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign hit the 25% mark just before Thanksgiving.
The Salvation Army’s Major Mike Parker says the goal this year is over a third of the organization’s entire budget, and they’re hoping they can hit it a bit early. “That goal is $200,000. And we just went over $50,000. We’re excited, but it’s challenging every year. Rarely do we make the goal before the last day.”
He says they are always looking for volunteers to be bell ringers. He says families can bring out people’s generosity. “When you have kids out ringing, I want to, I give. There’s something about parents teaching their children the importance of giving that is such a beautiful thing.”
Bell ringers can sign up by clicking here or call 320-252-4552.
