North Star Air Show: What to Know Before You Go

(KNSI) – The North Star Air Show touches down at St. Cloud Sky Central Airport this weekend.

Highlights in the sky include the U.S. Air Force Raptor Demonstration Team, a P-51 Mustang and the World War II era B-25 bomber, Miss Mitchell. See the Mitchell up close on the ground, plus current helicopters and transport planes. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, with the aerial portion of the show flying from approximately noon to 3:00 p.m.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Kids ages five and under are free. Those six and up need a ticket. Parking is included in the ticket fee, and the permit must be printed out in advance and handed to an attendant.

Organizers say spectators should wear ear protection and sunblock, and bring a chair for general admission seating. Bags are allowed, but are subject to search and screening. Smoking, vaping, drones, outside food and beverages (with the exception of one sealed water bottle up to one liter), and weapons are not allowed. Make sure everything is with you when arriving at the entry gate, as there is no re-entry.
