(KNSI) — Car dealerships in Central Minnesota competed on the kickball diamond for a good cause.
St. Cloud Subaru took home the trophy after winning four games on Sunday during the second annual kickball tournament at the Upper Deck Sports Bar. General Manager Bobby Konnight says the competition was stiff.
“It turns out to be a pretty big battle between dealers. You wouldn’t think anything of a kickball tournament until you actually go out there and see the scene.”
He says the event was fun and hopes it grows in future years.
“We haven’t played kickball in a long time and to see grown people out there playing it and having so much fun and heart and realizie it’s all for a good cause. I hope this keeps going for a long time.”
The tournament raised more than $3,000. The winners chose where the money went, and St. Cloud Subaru decided to donate to the Promise Neighborhood in St. Cloud.
