(KNSI) – The hardwood Huskies have a new man at the helm. Saint Cloud State University is expected to introduce Quincy Henderson as the coach of its Men’s Basketball Team on Wednesday.
Henderson is a Midwest native, having grown up in Madison, Wisconsin. He was a hoops standout, leading his high school to a state championship. He began his college career at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, before transferring to Division II Winona State.
Henderson has been an assistant at West Texas A&M for the past eight years. The Buffaloes have amassed a 210-50 record in that time. They’ve won the Lone Star Conference for five consecutive seasons and advanced to the D-II National Championship Game in 2021.
Henderson is the 14th head coach in SCSU program history.
