(KNSI) — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 10:00 p.m.

A watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop. The Storm Prediction Center says there is a moderate risk of tornadoes, severe winds over 70 miles an hour, and tennis ball sized hail are all possible.

A warm front surging north out of Iowa is destabilizing the atmosphere enough that it is recharging for more severe weather. Temps along the Minnesota/Iowa border are in the 70s, with dew points in the 60s. A warm front draped from Fargo to southeastern Minnesota will lift to the north and bring with it the potential for more severe weather.

Benton, Meeker, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright Counties are all included.
