(KNSI) — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Sherburne and Wright Counties in effect until 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 9th.
Two inch hail and 60 mile an hour wind gusts are expected with this cell as it moves to the east at 50 miles an hour.
As it tore across central Minnesota earlier Monday morning, 70 mile an hour wind gusts and ping pong ball sized hail were reported.
Damage to trees, roofs, siding, cars, and windows can be caused by these storms.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for central Minnesota until 1:00 Monday afternoon.
