(KNSI) – With the start of spring and much of the St. Cloud area’s snow melting away, drivers are coming across potholes. Officials say some of the largest potholes can cause significant damage to vehicle tires, steering, shocks, and car body.
St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis says the city has a pothole hotline to help people report where the problem spots are.
“If there is ever an area in town where there are potholes, give that number a call.”
He says getting the roads patched up after winter takes city crews sometimes.
“Our folks will be out all spring and into the early summer.”
St. Cloud plans to repave and replace nearly 20 miles of roads this year, near a record.
To report a pothole to the city of St. Cloud, call 320-650-2900. Potholes on state highways and interstates must be reported to MnDOT at 320-223-6500.
