(KNSI) — Police in St. Cloud have identified the teenager who died in a crash Tuesday evening.
According to a press release, the crash happened in the 3000 block of County Road 74 at about 9:20. Crash investigators say 16-year-old Khalid Ali Mohamed was a passenger in a car driven by a 17-year-old. They were going south County Road 74 when they collided with a northbound vehicle driven by an 18-year-old from St. Cloud.
Hussein was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old driver was injured and taken to St. Cloud Hospital. The 18-year-old and the passengers in that vehicle were not seriously hurt but were taken to St. Cloud Hospital. The St. Cloud Fire Department assisted in providing medical attention and had to extricate a passenger from one of the vehicles involved.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
