(KNSI) — Several employees were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at Messer Repair and Fabrication in Sauk Centre Township just after 6:00 Monday evening.

According to a news release from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Several employees were working to put out the fire inside the air circulator system. Sauk Centre Fire Department pulled six large air filters out of the system and extinguished them outside of the building.

Sauk Centre Ambulance treated employees for smoke and fire extinguisher powder inhalation.
