(KNSI) – Not all rescue efforts come with loud sirens and flashing lights.
Earlier this morning, members of St. Cloud Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 464 engaged in a rescue most local passersby wouldn’t expect to see. This one involved 11 ducklings that became trapped inside a storm drain and couldn’t find their way out.
Acting Capt. Tyler Thompson, Acting Fire Apparatus Operator Calvin Schoen and Firefighter Deelia Guite responded to the call, working carefully to remove all 11 ducklings and return them to their mother.
In a Facebook post, the organization highlighted the effort as an example of teamwork, noting that “no call is too small when it comes to helping the community – even the feathered residents!”
