(KNSI) – Nearly 15-thousand pounds of beef sticks are being recalled.

The sticks sold as “Iowa Smokehouse Original Smoked Beef Sticks” were sold at Walmart and other retailers nationwide. An announcement from the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says the product made by Wisconsin-based Abbyland Foods Inc. was mislabeled, failing to declare milk on its product label. The products subject to recall bear establishment number 1633B on the package below the sell-by date.

The problem was discovered after the firm received consumer complaints of cheese in the product and reported the event to FSIS.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

The beef sticks were produced between November 15th and 17th and were packaged in two-pound, clear plastic bags.
