Grey Eagle Man Hurt in Thursday Afternoon Crash

(KNSI) – A 55-year-old Grey Eagle man was injured in a crash Thursday afternoon in Millwood Township.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says about 2:50, a call came in for a single vehicle crash near the intersection of County Road 167 and Long Lake Road. Deputies say Jon Stone was going north on County Road 167, when he fell asleep and missed a curve in the road, causing his Chevy Impala to go into the ditch near Long Lake Road. The car went airborne, hit several trees, and then came to a stop.

Stone was rushed to Melrose Hospital for treatment. A release from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office does not give the extent of Stone’s injuries.
