(KNSI) – Stearns County Emergency Management and the City of St. Cloud say routine maintenance will be done on the 31 outdoor storm warning sirens today (August 11th) to better ensure they’re ready when severe weather impacts our area.
As a result of the maintenance, a city-wide siren test will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. People in the area may hear sirens sounding in other communities as well. The sirens will sound for approximately three minutes.
Normally, siren tests are done on the first Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. in coordination with emergency management departments throughout Minnesota’s 87 counties.
