(KNSI) – A St. Cloud State University wrestler is fighting for his life following a crash in southern Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, it happened August 11th just after 4:30 p.m. on northbound Highway 56 in Mower County. Twenty-one-year-old Dominic Mann was behind the wheel of a 2020 Chevy Tahoe when he collided with a Peterbilt semi, driven by a 50-year-old from Iowa. Mann is originally from Kasson, Minnesota. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
Both were wearing their seatbelts.
Mann is the second member of a local wrestling team to be injured in a crash this month.
Nineteen-year-old Bo Zweiner, who wrestles for St. John’s University, was seriously injured when he left the road and rolled his pickup truck on August 10th in Dodge County.
