Rod Stewart Cancels September 1st State Fair Grandstand Show Following Heart Procedure

(KNSI) — Rod Stewart has canceled his current tour dates, including his September 1st concert at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand.

According to a statement, Stewart underwent a routine coronary stent procedure and, on the advice of his doctors, will take the next few weeks to recuperate.

The 81-year-old rocker had been scheduled to perform at the Grandstand alongside Richard Marx as part of his “One Last Time” farewell tour.

The Minnesota State Fair says ticket sales for the concert have been suspended and refunds will be issued to everyone who purchased a ticket.

Tickets purchased with a credit card at Etix or the State Fair Ticket Office will be automatically refunded to the original credit card. Tickets purchased with cash or check should be returned by mail, along with the buyer’s contact information, to the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office, 1265 Snelling Avenue North, St. Paul, MN 55108, for a full refund.

Neither the Minnesota State Fair nor Etix can assist with concert ticket purchases made from other sources, such as third-party sellers or the secondary market.

Fair officials say updated information about the Grandstand concert that night is forthcoming.
