(KNSI) — A suspect in the Feeding Our Future fraud case has been returned to Minnesota after nearly four years on the run.
The Justice Department says 42-year-old Abdikerm Abdelahi Eidleh arrived in Minnesota on July 16th, escorted by special agents from the FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation Unit after his capture in Somalia.
Eidleh faces 31 counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery, federal programs bribery, conspiracy to commit money laundering and money laundering.
He was among the defendants charged by indictment in September of 2022, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota signed a warrant for his arrest that month. The Justice Department says law enforcement located him in Somalia in June of 2026, and credits Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency and the Somali Police Force, along with the Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs, with assisting in his return.
Eidleh has not entered a plea.
