St. Cloud Police Investigating Assault That Sent Woman to Hospital

(KNSI) – St. Cloud police are investigating an assault that left a 23-year-old Sauk Rapids woman with substantial injuries.

Officers were called to the 1000 block of 9th Avenue South at 3:19 a.m. on Saturday, July 11th for a report of an assault. Police say the woman was attacked by two adult female suspects in the parking lot of a business in the area.

Investigators say the suspects were acquaintances of the victim and the incident was not random.

The woman suffered substantial but non-life-threatening injuries and was later treated at St. Cloud Hospital.

Police say the investigation is active.
