(KNSI) – A Stearns County Sheriff’s Office bloodhound tracked down a missing 75-year-old man Monday evening, leading officers to a steep bank of the Sauk River where he had become stuck after walking away from a St. Cloud medical facility.
St. Cloud Police Department officers responded to a report of a missing person in the 1900 block of CentraCare Circle around 5:10 p.m. on June 22nd. Upon arrival, officers learned the man, considered vulnerable due to his medical conditions, had walked away from a medical facility in the area.
The K9 team tracked the man through a wooded area and onto the riverbank, where he had become stuck. Officers and deputies rescued him, and he was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
