(KNSI) – Kids ready to push, pull, roll, and race will have a place to burn that energy Friday as the Great River Children’s Museum teams up with the Science Museum of Minnesota for a morning of hands-on science.

The two-hour event, called “Forces in Motion,” runs from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 5th and ties into the museum’s Move & Groove month. Organizers are pitching it as a chance for families to explore movement, speed, gravity, and engineering through interactive challenges and live demonstrations.

Four activities anchor the morning: Frog Flingers, Stomp Rocket Launchers, magnetic challenges, and spinning tops. The museum did offer one note of reassurance to any wary parents, promising that no frogs will be harmed.

The collaboration pairs St. Cloud’s children’s museum with one of the state’s best-known science institutions, with the stated goal of sparking curiosity and discovery through play.
