Nostalgic Eats To Spotlight Classic Childhood Recipes

St. Cloud Area Restaurant Week continues this week with a trip down memory lane. Tuesday is Nostalgic Eats day, featuring specialties and recipes designed to bring back childhood memories.

For dirty sodas, Nelson Bros. Restaurant & Pub and Schmidty’s Soda Shop are the places to go. Nelson Bros. will offer a wide array of flavors, along with a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Schmidty’s will highlight its signature Coast soda, a blend of Sprite, blue raspberry, cotton candy and blueberry boba.

The drink theme continues at Boulder Tap House and Flat Iron Nutrition, featuring classic milkshakes and a protein-infused Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake, respectively. Boulder Tap House will offer a burger, fries and shake combo, while Flat Iron will give a free protein ball to anyone who posts a social media shoutout or review.

The Pickled Loon will serve the Meatloaf Dipper, a fresh take on a classic dish. Bravo Burrito will feature its Deluxe Burrito, made with fresh ingredients and offering free queso or guacamole for dipping.

In St. Augusta, Central Grind Coffeehouse will serve Old Fashioned Caramel Crisp subs at a dollar off for the day. In Sauk Rapids, Pio’s Sandwich Shop will spotlight the El Cubano, featuring Cuban roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on panini bread.
