(KNSI) — The Sauk Rapids-Rice School Board voted Monday to name its new early childhood building the Creekside Early Education Center.
The center is scheduled to open in August 2027, and officials say it will serve the district’s youngest learners as they begin their education.
A press release from the district says the name reflects its commitment to providing a Path for Every Student from the very start. Community input shaped the decision, with students, staff, families, and community members invited to submit suggestions and asked to consider local history, shared values, and a shared investment in the district’s future.
The district thanked everyone who participated in the naming process.
