(KNSI) – A 32-year-old St. Cloud man was arrested on an out-of-state felony warrant for a sex crime against a child.
Jeffrey Richard Ronnei was taken into custody around 7:09 a.m. on January 16th during a traffic stop in the 200 block of County Road 120 in Sartell.
According to the St. Cloud Police Department, officers with the department’s Community Response Team conducted the stop after receiving information from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension that Ronnei had an active nationwide extraditable felony warrant. The warrant was issued by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana for Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor.
Police said Ronnei was taken into custody without incident and cooperated fully during the arrest. He was transported to the Stearns County Jail, where he is being held pending extradition proceedings.
No injuries or additional issues were reported.
