(KNSI) – Flooding on the Minnesota River is impacting operations at Valleyfair Amusement Park.
Three of the most popular rides have been temporarily closed since they sit in low-lying areas below the expected crest. Excalibur, Thunder Canyon, Renegade, and several parking lots are affected.
Guests should use the overflow lots when coming to the park. They are farther from the entrance gate, but Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant buses offer shuttle rides every 15 to 20 minutes. There are also unpaved, grassy areas that can handle four-wheel drive vehicles to add limited space.
The changes went into effect on Wednesday and will remain as long as necessary.
