(KNSI) – The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force has arrested a man they say was trying to sell fentanyl-laced pills in the St. Cloud area.

A criminal complaint says correctional officers at the Stearns County Jail found 176 MBox 30 pills on Jorge Luis Ramos Garcia during a strip search as he was being booked on March 2nd.

A press release says the task force got a warrant to search an apartment in the 1600 block of University Drive Southeast on March 4th. They found fentanyl and methamphetamine at Ramos’ place. Another search allegedly netted 4,800 fentanyl pills.

The 40-year-old Garcia is potentially facing charges for the possession and sale of narcotics.
