(KNSI) – A road project in western Stearns County could cause headaches for area drivers.

An open house is set for February 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Henry City/Fire Hall so officials can present information and get the community’s thoughts on reconstructing an intersection about a mile north of Lake Henry or about six miles northwest of Paynesville. The work will be done where County Highway 4 and County Highway 32 meet.

A brief presentation will be made a 5:30 p.m.

The project is a joint effort by Stearns County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Work will start in the spring of 2026.

You can still pass along your thoughts, even if you can’t make the meeting. Send comments and concerns to Jodi Teich at Stearns County Highway Department, PO Box 246, St. Cloud, MN 56302; 320-255-6180; or highway@stearnscountymn.gov.
