(KNSI) — Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud says its 42nd annual Mardi Gras fundraiser hauled in an impressive $357,000.
The money will go for emergency services, including a food shelf, clothing program, financial assistance program, and Catholic Charities Domus Transitional Housing. Domus is a facility for single women and their children.
“We are so grateful for the unwavering support of our donors and stakeholders,” said Renae Sternke, acting executive director. “Our Mardi Gras celebration is a powerful demonstration of the generosity that lives in all of us and is embodied in the work we do at Catholic Charities every day.”
The silent auction alone sold over 110 items and raised over $28,000.
Over 520 people packed into the River’s Edge Convention Center for the gala on Saturday, January 27th. If you missed it, you can still make a contribution here.
