(KNSI) — It’s Decision Time 2024 as voting for another stiff competition is underway.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation released the top 50 finalists for the Name a Snowplow Contest.
After whittling down 8,000 submissions, judges considered a variety of factors, including uniqueness, frequency of submissions, Minnesota-specific ideas, and names that would be easily identifiable and understandable to most audiences.
The public is now able to cast one vote and pick up to eight names – one for each district.
Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, January 28th.
This is MnDOT’s fourth Name a Snowplow contest. District 3, which covers central Minnesota, has Better Call Salt, Darth Blader, and Scoop Dogg.
