(KNSI) — A food drive and fundraiser is coming to St. Mary’s Cathedral on November 18th to benefit Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf.

The Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing community choral concert will bring together five local choirs to celebrate Thanksgiving and support people in central Minnesota facing food insecurity. The Atonement Lutheran Choir, Central Minnesota Saints, Cold Spring Area Maennerchor, Minnesota Center Chorale and the St. John’s Boys’ Choir will all be singing.

Showtime is at 7:00 p.m.

Eric Vollen, Catholic Charities Emergency Services program manager, is the music minister at Atonement Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, where he directs the Atonement Lutheran Choir. “This concert is special to me as it combines two of my passions: raising awareness and support of our neighbors experiencing food insecurity, and creating and sharing beautiful music that nourishes the souls of all in our community.”

There is no set admission charge, but the audience is asked to bring a nonperishable food item or a monetary donation to help the food shelf.
