(KNSI) – Lions Park in Freeport will host several area law enforcement agencies for a special event Monday.
Freeport Fire Department, Melrose Ambulance, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota State Patrol, and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office will all be on hand for Public Safety in the Park. It’s a fun, family-friendly event with free popcorn and drinks provided, plus a K9 demonstration. It runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Lions Park is located at 205 7th Street Southeast. The forecast is for mostly clear skies with a high temperature in the low-80s before temperatures drop to around 70 degrees as the event wraps up. If a surprise storm should pop up, the rain date for the event is August 21st.
